DRILLING OF ONE APPRAISAL CUM DEVELOPMENT OIL/GAS WELL (KTL-7) AT KAILASHTILLA STRUCTURE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Kailashtilla Gas Field is located in Sylhet district, some 300 km from Dhaka. Between the year 1961 and 2007, six (6) nos. wells, were drilled to meet the increasing gas demand of the country. At present, about 95MMSCFD gas and 1500 barrels of Condensate/NGL are being produced from three gas sands (upper, middle and lower). The main objective of the project is to determine the extent of Kailashtilla structure and to increase the production of gas to meet the growing–up demand of the country.

Under the project, on the basis of result from 3-D seismic survey by BPEPCL (BAPEX) an appraisal cum development oil/gas well, KTL-7 will be vertically drilled at 500 meters away from KTL-4.

SCOPE OF WORK

Under international competitive bidding, Oryx along with Agmor Consortium was awarded the contract for the consultancy services. 

Following is the scope of services:-

·         Finalization of tender documents and evaluation of bids for procurement of materials, engagement of drilling contractor and third party services.

·         Finalization of the drilling programme,

·         Supervision of drilling operation, logging operation, drill stem & production of wells including analysis of test results etc. 

·         Finalization of down hole completion ( for primary & secondary production , in case of oil flow)

·         Preparation/ Compilation of necessary drilling reports (including suggestions for production technology, in case of oil flow).
