PROJECT DESCRIPTION

GAS Transmission Company Limited (GTCL), a subsidiary of Petro-Bangla has awarded an EPCC contract to M/S FERNASS to construct a 30-inch 60 km Bakhrabad–Shiddhirganj Gas Transmission Pipeline. The extent of works include Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Laying, Testing & Commissioning the 30 inch dia  HP Gas Transmission Line from Bakhrabad Gas Field to Shiddhirganj Power station with  river crossings, valve stations, scraper stations, Metering station at Bakhrabad, RMS at Haripur & Siddhirganj, CP system and SCADA /Tele-communication with optical fibre Cable.

The pipeline will provide more natural gas to Sidhirganj Peaking Power Plants.

AGMOR Consortium Ltd. and Mears Group Inc., as Joint Venture, took the responsibility of laying pipeline under the rivers at 6 (six) different locations measuring a total of 4250 m length using SHORE Approach  Horizontal Direction Drilling (HDD) design.


SCOPE OF HDD WORK INCLUDES:

  • Make survey and finalize final location of all river crossings.
  • Prepare HDD Profile, Transition Trench Profile. Anchor patterns for general HDD work and for pullback etc. 
  • Rig positioning and Rig Anchoring.
  • Supervise and Monitor rigging operations, checking pipe stability adequate coverage below the river bed etc.
