STUDY OF GAS WELLS AT TITAS GAS FIELD TO IDENTIFY SICK WELLS AND RECOMMEND & SUPERVISE REMEDIAL WORKS

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In 2006 surface seepages of gas into the atmosphere were detected in the vicinity of the TITAS Gas Field. Over a period of time the number of seepages increased along with the growing concern of the local population.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that TITAS Well No. 3, 9 and 10 were the most likely sources of the gas seepages. Further investigations discovered pressure in each casing annuli on TITAS Well No. 3. Discussions, investigations and plans were made to determine the best method to remedy the situation. The end result of these meetings was the determination that TITAS Well No. 3 was the most likely source of the surface seepages

After an International Bidding Process a contract   was awarded to Boots and Coots International. Pegasus was awarded a contract to provide a highly qualified and experienced Well Control Specialist to act as supervising Consultant to BGFCL.
