BGFCL DRILLING & WORKOVER PROJECT IN BANGLADESH

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main objectives of the project were to further develop Titas, Habiganj, Bakhrabad and Narshingdi gas fields for enhancing gas production capability to meet the growing demand of natural gas of the country. Under the project Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Ltd.(BGFCL)would drill three new wells at Habiganj, Bakhrabad and Narshingdi gas fields & Workover of two existing wells and remedial works of one well at Titas gas field including workover /recompletion of two existing wells.  

 The Client also intended to appraise the gas field's reservoirs on different flanks of the structures.

SCOPE OF WORK

Under international competitive bidding, Agmor Consortium and Pegasus International were awarded the contract for the consultancy services by BGFCL.

Following were the Scopes of Services:-

·         Preparation of Bid Documents and Evaluation of Bid for Procurement of Materials, Engagement of Drilling Contractor and Third Party Services.

·         Preparation of the drilling programme, designing casing & well completion, finalization of mud logging & coring programmes and workover/recompletion programme.

·         Supervision of drilling operation, logging operation, workover/ recompletion operation and production testing,etc. 

·         Preparation of necessary drilling reports, supervising testing operation & analyzing the test results.

Preparation of geological and petrophysical reports of the reservoirs and necessary drilling & workover/ recompletion reports.
