FENCHUGANJ GAS FIELD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Ltd.(BAPEX) was in the process of developing a number of prospective Gas structures including the Salda, Shahbajpur and Fenchunganj Gas Fields to enhance the supply of the County’s Natural gas. The Fenchuganj Gas Field lies in the Moulovi_Bazar District, East of Patharia in the North part of Bangladesh. The objective of the project was to further develop Fenchuganj Gas Field to enhance its production capacity to help meet the country’s growing demand for natural gas. The development comprised of the Procurement and Installation of a 60 MMCFD Silica Gel Type Gas Dehydration and Condensate Extraction Plant to process the gas and a 100 BBL/day Capacity Condensate Fractionation Plant to fractionate condensate received from the Silica Plant

SCOPE OF WORK

Agmor Consortium and Pegasus International were awarded PMC and design engineering of the surface facilities of the Fenchuganj Gas Field Development. The scope of responsibilities included detailed field survey and soils assessment of the plant site, preparation of preliminary design and specification of the Silica Gel Gas Process Plant, Condensate Fractionation Plant based on available gas & condensate analysis data. Project activities covered Hazards Evaluation and Environmental Impact Assessment Mitigating Measures and Safety Procedures. Other activities comprised of:

·       Bid Evaluation

·       Contract Negotiations & Award

·       Oversee Contractor’s Detail Design

·       Field Supervision

·       Progress Monitoring and Control

·       Contractor Invoice Approval
